American Kenpo is a logical, principle-based system. Whether you're new to martial arts or returning after years away, our adult classes meet you where you are. You'll develop practical self-defense skills while getting fit and building lasting discipline. The best way to win a fight is to not get in one—and Kenpo gives you the confidence and awareness to avoid trouble before it starts.

What to expect

Classes include warm-ups, basics (strikes, blocks, stances), and technique work. We follow the curriculum of Ed Parker's American Kenpo, with instruction from Paul and Luca Jones. No experience is required—come in comfortable clothes (or a gi if you have one), and we'll take it from there.

We train at Syndicate Martial Arts in Berlin Mitte. Check the class schedule below, or get in touch to ask about your first session.

Dojo Etiquette

We share the same standards of respect and conduct in all our classes:

  1. Bow in/out of the studio door and on/off the mat.
  2. No shoes or socks on the mat.
  3. Practice sportsman-like conduct and respect for everyone.
  4. Be respectful of all instructors and training partners.
  5. Come with a clean uniform (or attire), clean gear, and good hygiene. If you're sick, stay home.
  6. Uniform or clothing should allow free movement; no dragging sleeves or pant legs on the mat.
  7. When waiting for instruction, stand at attention or watch the instructor.
  8. Keep a notebook for technique notes and progress—it helps you and shows your commitment.
